Mekanism Ore Processing Guide
Mekanism offers multiple tiers of ore processing, each providing a greater yield from your ores. This guide will walk you through each tier, the machines needed, and how to progress to the next tier.
Tier 0: Basic Smelting
This is the base Minecraft method of directly smelting ores into ingots.
Tier 1: Double Ore Processing
This tier introduces the Enrichment Chamber, doubling the ingot yield.
Tier 2: Triple Ore Processing
This tier triples the ingot yield and introduces the Purification Chamber and Crusher.
Tier 3: Quadruple Ore Processing
This tier quadruples the ingot yield. It introduces the Chemical Injection Chamber and Chemical Infuser.
Tier 4: Quintuple Ore Processing
This tier quintuples the ingot yield. It introduces the Chemical Dissolution Chamber, Chemical Washer, and Chemical Crystallizer.
Each tier requires the machines from the previous tiers, along with the addition of new machines. The complexity and resource requirement increases with each tier, but so does the yield, making it worthwhile for long-term resource gathering.
Note: This guide assumes you have access to all the necessary resources and machines, and that you are comfortable setting up and configuring Mekanism's machines. For more detailed information about each machine and how to set them up, refer to the Mekanism mod's official documentation or other online resources.

Tier 0: Basic Smelting
This is the base Minecraft method of directly smelting ores into ingots.
- 1 Raw Ore → Energized Smelter → 1 Ingot
Tier 1: Double Ore Processing
This tier introduces the Enrichment Chamber, doubling the ingot yield.
- New machines on this tier: Enrichment Chamber
- 1 Silk Touch Ore → Enrichment Chamber → 2 Dusts → Energized Smelter → 2 Ingots
Tier 2: Triple Ore Processing
This tier triples the ingot yield and introduces the Purification Chamber and Crusher.
- New machines on this tier: Purification Chamber, Crusher
- 1 Silk Touch Ore + Oxygen → Purification Chamber → 3 Clumps → Crusher → 3 Dirty Dusts → Enrichment Chamber → 3 Dusts → Energized Smelter → 3 Ingots
Tier 3: Quadruple Ore Processing
This tier quadruples the ingot yield. It introduces the Chemical Injection Chamber and Chemical Infuser.
- New machines on this tier: Chemical Injection Chamber, Chemical Infuser
- 1 Silk Touch Ore + Hydrogen Chloride → Chemical Injection Chamber → 4 Shards → Purification Chamber + Oxygen → 4 Clumps → Crusher → 4 Dirty Dusts → Enrichment Chamber → 4 Dusts → Energized Smelter → 4 Ingots
Tier 4: Quintuple Ore Processing
This tier quintuples the ingot yield. It introduces the Chemical Dissolution Chamber, Chemical Washer, and Chemical Crystallizer.
- New machines on this tier: Chemical Dissolution Chamber, Chemical Washer, Chemical Crystallizer
- 1 Silk Touch Ore + Sulfuric Acid → Chemical Dissolution Chamber → 1000mb Dirty Slurry → Chemical Washer + Water → 1000mb Clean Slurry → Chemical Crystallizer → 5 Crystals → Chemical Injection Chamber + Hydrogen Chloride → 5 Shards → Purification Chamber + Oxygen → 5 Clumps → Crusher → 5 Dirty Dusts → Enrichment Chamber → 5 Dusts → Energized Smelter → 5 Ingots
